AlKhidmat Lahore Rescue Department is leading a trained team in trying to contain a raging fire at Sandha Road that destroyed some houses. The fire started on Sunday in a house and was fanned by strong winds; it was burning over an extensive area, the Government’s resources were also there. One member from AlKhidmat Rescue team sustained burn wounds and was transported to hospital on AlKhidmat Ambulances, while at least 22 residents at Sandha Road were treated for smoke inhalation.
President AlKhidmat Lahore said “that this fire had been particularly challenging for the Rescue Team, who had seen a significant hike in the frequency of fires, I would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to the firefighters for their bravery. Every day they encounter danger to ensure that the residents of Lahore are kept safe. We appreciate their contributions to making Lahore a truly safe city where disasters are managed efficiently,”
In this year, AlKhidmat Lahore Rescue Department will hire 50 additional firefighters.
